"we have a Fort Myers, Florida client with an immediate contract (possibly to hire) need for an experienced Oracle eBusiness Application Support Specialist. The person in this role will be expected to be the primary support person for all of our client's Oracle eBusiness applications. This person will "own" the applications and be responsible to supporting and responding to the business needs.
Experience with most recent eBusiness (release R12, ideally but earlier release experience will be considered) as well as eBusiness Certification is desired. Absent formal certification, a willingness to become certified shortly after hire (on the customer's 'dime') will be considered.
The Lead Applications Support will play a technical leadership and administrative role for the application support group within the IT department. In this role, he/she is responsible for managing all applications currently in a production environment. This person plays a key role in all aspects of application production support, with emphasis in technical design, documentation and coordination of technical team efforts. He/she will guide and always communicate closely with the rest of the technology team, including keeping stakeholders informed of technical progress and risks.
The Lead Applications Support also has client facing responsibilities, ensuring that both internal and ex-ternal clients are receiving outstanding service from the application support team.
This person ideally will have:
• Solid understanding and work experience as a technical lead and/or consultant with Oracle; experience with the E-Business Suite is desired
• Minimum of several years current, hands-on Oracle experience
• Experience with E-Business Suite R11 (R12 preferred)
• Proven experience with a full life-cycle implementation/upgrade
• Proven expertise in Oracle Forms/Reports 6i, PL/SQL, XML, BI Publisher, Workflow Studio, Discoverer 4i and 10g, SysAdmin responsibility tasks
• Experience with SOA and other newly acquired Oracle products offerings preferred.
• Solid understanding and work experience as a technical lead and/or consultant with Oracle; experience with the E-Business Suite is desired

The general roles and responsibilities for this position may include:

• Leads Application Support Team consisting of a matrix of direct reports and external team members which provide Level-2 technical support of all line-of-business applications
• Mentors, educates, and fosters technical growth with level-1 technical support team, Super Users, and Business Analysts
• Participates in project initiatives by completing tasks in an efficient and timely manner reporting progress to the implementation Project Manager
• Seeks innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to internal customers
• Shares suggestions and knowledge capital to help optimize our support and implementation methodologies
• Identifies and measures team and application metrics to IT Leadership and internal customers
• Participates in testing with Quality Assurance Team and assist in improving the quality of team deliverables
• Assist as needed with system architecture, technology footprint and standards
• Assists team with all aspects of any implementations and upgrades
• May participate in the design and development of Reports, Interfaces, Conversions and Extensions in Oracle Applications (11.5.8 or higher)
• PL/SQL programming experience 11.5.8 or higher
• Leads Application Support Team consisting of a matrix of direct reports and external team members which provide Level-2 technical support of all line-of-business applications
