Expected Capabilities:
Ability to understand, modify and support existing Datastage and Powercenter jobs and Oracle data warehouse content with minimal coaching and training from University staff.
Technical design requirements defined from functional requirements for Datastage or Powercenter content per best practices and University requirements.
Development and testing of ETL jobs per technical design specifications.
Technical design requirements defined from functional requirements for data warehouse content per best practices and University requirements.
Testing of data warehouse content per technical design specifications.
Mentoring and tutoring of University staff in design and development best practices for the Datastage toolset.
Contractor Skills:
Expert level knowledge of, and hands on experience with, administration and configuration in Datastage 8.x.
Expert level knowledge of, and hands on experience withETL design and development in Datastage 8.x.
Experience with SQL in an Oracle environment using tools such as TOAD or SQL Developer.
Experience with Linux scripting in a Red Hat 5.x environment.
Experience with Informatica Powercenter 9.x development is preferred.
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials, HR or Campus Solutions data as well as EPM content is preferred.
Experience within a university, government or non-profit environment is preferred.
