Role: Release / Configuration Manager

Duration: Tampa.FL

Duration:  6 – 12 Months

Rate: Open

 

Required Skills:

 

·         Insures the proper migration of software from environment to environment.  Should understand .NET from a configuration and deployment perspective, but not required to write code.  Will write instructions and insure code is checked in, properly versioned, etc. Knowledge of version control systems (such as SubVersion), Windows server technology and networking is essential. 

·         Excellent communication skills are a must.

·         At least 5+ years of Configuration and Release Management experience serving in an enterprise and fast-paced organization.

·         Experience with tools such as Subversion (SVN) and Team Foundation Server (TFS), along with full knowledge and understanding of baselines, merges, builds etc with these tools.

·         Hands-on experience with software packaging tools and scripting techniques using MS Powershell, Perl, Ant, etc

·         Working knowledge of infrastructure concepts for applications and services running on IIS and database (Sybase, Oracle, etc) servers

·         Working knowledge of programming concepts and build process for applications written in C#, C++, ..NET and service-oriented architecture platforms through web services

·         At least 3 years experience working with Change Management processes to ensures traceable, secure, authorized and tested versions of implementations are properly installed and meet the demands of defined business processes.

·         Manages the exact content and roll-out plans for release to Development, QA and Production environments.

·         Experience with defect management tools.
